I spent the first half of the day in Rome, the beginning of my adventure in Italy. Unfortunately, I didn't see much...
I was more worried about the whole trip to Naples, which apartment to book, and where I would sleep (as I mentioned, I had no place to stay in Naples...).
The only thing I experienced was the first taste of Italy: wine, tiramisu, cheeses, and the simplest pasta "Spaghetti aglio olio e peperoncino".
I took the Flixbus, from Roma Angagnina (the sticks of the capital) to the bus station in Naples. When I arrived, it was already dark...

Food, views and trip
First impression: I am in Italy. ITALIA VERA!!!
It was so loud and crowded, this city was alive... people were bumping into each other, honking horns, and the street was so messy... everyone was doing what they wanted, cars, Vespa, pedestrians...
Vibrant Italy
I went to the hostel next to piazza Garibaldi... and stayed there for a week. A WHOLE WEEK...
During that time I was looking for an apartment. My days there were extremely depressing. Every day I would get up, and go to an Italian breakfast with a beautiful view of Vesuvius and a piece of the city. Later I would sit down at the computer to look for a place to stay. So, I'd spend about 3h a day on that, and then I'd go look at 2 apartments in person.
I was overwhelmed by the lack of my four corners, my own space. To make matters worse, at the same time I had to take exams in my country, so in my spare time, I tried to study... However, I couldn't focus, because my thoughts were only centered on finding an apartment.
And one personal piece of advice, if you come to Naples, don't stay near piazza Garibaldi. It's hard to see the real Italy there, it's a zone of homeless people, immigrants, and junkies. And it's dirty as hell... and dangerous… But for that, there is a beautiful view of Vesuvius.😊
It is important to try to enjoy the little things, the Italian ones... A cappuccino with a croissant, a pizza, the first Italian pasta, the sun, the amazing view, and observing, listening to the Italians and their wonderful gestures.
