Sooo…

My whole trip started in Dortmund.

Friends came to say goodbye to me and accompanied me to the station. And it began… An unlucky journey…

First, one of my friends helped me carry my suitcase and accidentally broke the lock of it. Then my glass bottle (a gift from ESN) slipped out of my backpack and shattered…

Fortunately, in Bochum, where I was transferring, I met one of my friends. We talked the entire trip, so I didn't have a chance to cry. At the next stop, we had one last coffee together, and I went directly to the airport, where a guy came up to me and started talking to me. About his whole life…

One station before the airport, the most stressful thing happened… Someone pulled the emergency brake. The train stopped and we waited. Nothing could be done. Just be patient… And time flew by inexorably. The entire security crew began to look for the type who did it, and all the passengers were shitting themselves whether they would be able to catch the plane. After about 20 minutes, the operation ended, and we were able to move… (But the procedures are really strict.... we just got stuck in the middle of the train…)

At the airport in Cologne, everything went well. Shipment of the suitcase (Only + 1 kg overweight) check-in and boarding the plane. One last look at Germany, one last breath of air, and… happy landing in Rome.

My last steps in Germany

One thing I definitely learned from my trip is to get to the airport with time to spare… Just in case something could happen… Second, be open to opportunities to talk to others. In most cases, they are just like you, experiencing the same crappy or wonderful situations.

Airport life

There's strength in numbers!!!
